Entity UI - Automatic Generation and Regeneration

Learn how to generate or regenerate the Entity UI.

The Entity UI is auto-generated based on the Field and Field Group settings. After you save an Entity you get a dialog asking if the UI is to be generated or regenerated. Click Generate UI to generate the UI immediately. The previews for the Details and Search screens can be seen in the User Interfaces view. The UI can also be generated from the User Interfaces view.

  1. Select the User Interfaces view in the component menu.

  2. Click Generate UI to regenerate the UI.

IMPORTANT:

Make sure you are using at least one of the patterns from the XLib.* libraries. At the very least your Entity should be using the Persistent Object pattern.
